Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash on the Baldwin Bridge on Interstate 95 North in Old Saybrook Thursday morning, according to the Old Saybrook Fire Department.
One vehicle overturned and some oil was in the water.
According to the fire department, a container fell into the Connecticut River and the Old Saybrook Police Boat removed it container.
Drivers are urged to expect traffic delays in the area, both on and off the highway.
