Route 8 south reopened early Sunday morning after closing overnight due to a serious crash late Saturday night.
Two vehicles collided between exits 38 and 37 on Route 8 south in Thomaston close to 10:12 p.m. on Saturday night.
The highway shut down in the area, but was reopened as of 3:37 a.m. Sunday.
There were serious injuries in the crash, but it's unclear how many people were hurt.
An accident reconstruction team responded to investigate.
