Edgewood Street in Hartford is closed between Albany and Homestead avenues and after a car struck a pole on Thursday morning.
No one was in the car when police arrived. Police are investigating whether the car was recently reported stolen.
The car has been removed, but some wires are down and officials are clearing the scene.
It is not clear how long the road will be closed. If you are need to travel in this area, use Sigourney Street or Cabot Street.
