A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Route 12 in Canterbury near the Plainfield town line Thursday morning.
State police said 26-year-old Anthony Burgess, of Plainfield, was driving a Honda motorcycle on Route 12 south and hit the back of a Toyota Tacoma that had turned from Butts Bridge Road onto Route 12 South just before 7:20 a.m.
Burgess was pronounced dead at the scene.
State police are investigating.
