Two people were transported to area hospitals after a crash that briefly closed Route 44 in Canton.
The crash happened at about 5:32 p.m. and the state road was shut down near La Trattoria at 21 Old Albany Turnpike (Route 44) for about an hour. The road reopened shortly before 6:30 p.m.
Ambulances transported two people to the hospital to be treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.
It's unclear many vehicles are involved and police did not release further information on the circumstances of the crash.
