A New Britain man was killed in a crash on Route 72 in Plainville Monday.
State police said 35-year-old Carl Nauss was killed in a crash near exit 1 on Route 72 westbound Monday afternoon.
According to police, the vehicle went off the road and hit a guardrail before crashing down an embankment. Nauss was taken to Hartford Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Route 72 was closed for several hours but has since reopened. The crash remains under investigation.
