A 55-year-old woman died after being hit by a pickup on Talcottville Road (Route 83) in Vernon Wednesday afternoon and police have released her name.
Police said a truck traveling north hit 55-year-old Grazyna Grudzinska-Burek, of Vernon, in the area of 642 Talcottville Road around 3:30 p.m. and she was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The driver remained at the scene and spoke to investigators, according to police. No charges have been filed.
Police are investigating and ask anyone who witnessed the crash to call Officer Ethan Roberge at 860-872-9126.
