Rescue crews have ended a search for a missing hiker in East Granby after a man's body was found in the area, according to Connecticut State Police.
On Monday police began searching for an overdue hiker at the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail in East Granby. Police identified the hiker as 58-year-old Trevor French.
The body found does match French's description but has not been positively identified, police said Tuesday. Authorities are awaiting an autopsy for more information.
