Customer Tasered in Milford Walmart

A fight in line for video games led to the customer's arrest.

A Thanksgiving night shopping frenzy ended with a fight inside a Milford Walmart and a customer tasered before being arrested.

A line of customers waiting to get pre-Black Friday deals on video games got a bit out of control, according to police. An 11-year-old boy was knocked to the ground by the crowd around 10 p.m. Thursday night, according to police. The boy's father, who tried to help his son to his feet, was confronted by Brian Shellnutt in line, police said.

Another customer came to the aid of the father and son, when Shellnutt, 26,  punched the helpful customer, according to police. Shellnutt continued to hit the customer even after officers arrived at the store at 1365 Boston Post Road, police said.

Cops used a taser on Shellnutt and took him into custody. He was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace and risk of injury to a minor. Shellnutt will be in court Dec. 13.

The Milford incident is just one of several violent altercations involving Black Friday shoppers around the country.
