Cops have a suspect in a 2007 rape and he was already behind bars.
In March 2007, a man broke into a Myrtle Street home in Shelton, stole jewelry and raped the woman who lived there, police said.
Recently, cops learned that DNA from that crime is a match to Carlos Gonzalez, 38, who’s incarcerated at the Bridgeport Correctional Center for burglary and violation of probation charges, police said.
The arrest warrant was served on Tuesday.
