Dad Busted as Kids Stand in Moving Convertible: Cops

The father of one of the children was charged with DUI.

A man was charged with driving under the influence after a Bristol police officer saw him driving with three children  standing in the backseat of his convertible.

An officer pulled Garrett Johnston, 45, over on Friday night after seeing the children, who were between the ages of 9 and 12 hanging onto the roller bar.

It appears that one was his child and two were not, police said.

Johnston was released on $2,500 non-surety bond and charged with three counts failure to use a seat belt on a child 4 to 16 years and one count of driving under the influence.

He is due in court on June 25.
