Violent Sex Offender Walks Away From CVH: Cops

Police have issued a warning after a convicted sex offender walked away from Connecticut Valley Hospital.

David Lane, 38, left the hospital in Middletown around 8:30 p.m. Friday.

Lane is known to be violent, according to police. They are cautioning anyone who sees Lane, not to approach him. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, jeans, and red and white sneakers.

Lane was convicted of first-degree sexual assault and is currently wanted for failing to register as a sex offender.

Police said Lane is committed to CVH by the court, but did not say why he is committed to the hospital.

Anyone who sees Lane is urged to call their local police department or 911.
