Dog Saves Couple from Kitchen Fire

The Bosley’s have one good dog in Maggie. She knew something was wrong last week when fire broke out in the couple’s Southbury condo and she acted quickly.

Eileen Bosley credits her Doberman pinscher mix with saving her and her husband, Arthur, the Waterbury Republican-American reports.

The Bosleys were sleeping around 4 a.m. when Maggie, who sleeps on the floor beside their bed, nudged Eileen with her paw. It was not time for the dog to go out, she told Maggie.

But Maggie ran toward the kitchen, came back, waking Arthur, who discovered flames on the cabinet and kitchen counter.

The Bosleys had company the night before and had burned several candles, the newspaper reports. They extinguished all one in the kitchen before they went to bed.
