Abandoned Waterford Pups Get New Homes

There is a happy development for two dogs and a very young puppy that were abandoned and left in a crate by a trash bin in Waterford two weeks ago.

All three have been adopted.

The dogs and puppy were found on July 12 at the condominiums at 310 Boston Post Road, according to the Waterford-East Lyme Animal Control Facebook page and the Waterford Patch.

That was just a couple days before temperatures jumped into the 90s.

The person who found them brought them to animal control.

At the time, animal control said the dogs would be available on July 21 if they could not find an owner.

The interest in the dogs was massive.

The dogs were not all placed together, according to animal control, but they are all in great homes.

"I know there will be many disappointed people tonight who did not get a phone call, but (I) wanted to thank each of the people who called, came in to meet these great dogs and who completed adoption applications," animal control posted on its Facebook page last night.
