An elderly driver was taken to a local hospital after crashing his car into the side of a condo on Orchard Brook Drive in Wethersfield on Wednesday.
A passenger in the vehicle was able to get out, but the driver was stuck behind the steering wheel until emergency responders were able to use a chainsaw to remove some of the shrubs in front of the building and open the door wide enough to remove him.
The driver complained of minor injuries from his airbag.
Wethersfield police are investigating the cause of the crash.
