The day before Gupta Eye Care will hold its grand opening at 680 Boston Post Road in Milford, a woman struck the business with her car.
Deepak Gupta, owner of the business, said an elderly driver somehow lost control of a Honda, hit two other cars and then struck the building around 9:15 a.m., police said.
"She was in the parking lot and we assume she hit drive instead of reverse, so instead of backing up in the spot, she came straight into the office," Gupta said.
The woman was shaken up, but not hurt, according to Gupta.
The building inspector was called and the window is being replaced.
The grand opening will happen as planned, according to the Milford Chamber of Commerce.
