Driving School Charged With Forgery

The owners of a teen driving school face more than 100 charges of fraud and forgery.

State police said they found fraudulent parental consent forms at the Academy of Driving, which is owned by Jack Sousa and his wife.

Three former employees were also arrested. Authorities said they started their investigation into the school several months ago after it received complaints about the school's operation.

The state Department of Motor Vehicles has also brought more than 500 charges against the school itself.

The owners were issued a summons to attend a hearing to decide whether the school can stay open.

Until then, the school said lessons will continue. The Academy of Driving is the largest in the state with more than 50 locations and more than 500 students training at any given time.
