Drug Raid in New Britain

Five people have been arrested in a two-day drug raid in New Britain.

Between Thursday and Friday, police said they executed two search and seizure warrants and seized crack cocaine, heroin, marijuana, a sawed off shotgun and money believed to have come from drug sales.  

They targeted the two houses because they believed weapons were in the homes.

Police searched 426 Chestnut St apartment #2, arrested Thomas Walker, 32, and charged him with sale of marijuana and other drug offenses after investigators located 3.2 grams of crack cocaine, 1.8 grams of marijuana and $1,000 in suspected drug proceeds, police said. Police also found $2,800 in suspected drug proceeds in the home.      

A search warrant at 131 Kensington Ave 1st resulted in the arrest of Barbara Yockachonis, 41, of 131 Kensington Ave 1st, was charged with possession of a sawed-off shotgun, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of a steroids, operating a drug factory and other offenses.

Police also arrested Taylor Patterson, 20, and Sean Patterson, 22, both of Lebanon Avenue in Colchester, and charged them with drug possession.  

A fourth man from 131 Kensington Ave #1 was charged with possession of a sawed-off shotgun, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, operating a drug factory and other offenses.

Investigators said they seized two grams of raw heroin, 100 bags of heroin packaged for sale, sifting materials, cutting agents, packaging material, scales, $500 in suspected drug proceeds and approximately 20 prescription pills.
