The death of an East Haven woman found in her apartment Tuesday does not appear suspicious, police said Wednesday.
Police said they were called to the home at 65 Messina Drive in the East Farm Village for a welfare check and a "foul odor" coming from one of the units.
Officers found 94-year-old Lydia Civitelli dead in the home.
Police said foul play is not suspected. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is investigating.
