Police are asking drivers to plan out their trip if they need to travel near Rubber Avenue in Naugatuck on Friday because of a paving project that has closed the eastbound side of the street.
Rubber Avenue will be closed between Route 63 and Melbourne Street until 5 p.m. and drivers are asked to take alternate routes to avoid delays in the area.
Police said detours are set up to move traffic around the construction, using Scott Street between Melbourne Street and Cherry Street.
Businesses along Rubber Avenue will be open for business during the paving project, but you can only get to them by traveling westbound.
