Elevated bacteria levels were found at Giants Neck Heights (jetty) in East Lyme and the area is closed for swimming or wading, according to the Ledge Light Health District.
A post on the website says the samples were conducted Monday, resampled Wednesday and tests showed elevated levels persisted, so the area has been posted closed and swimming or wading in these waters is restricted until further notice.
