Employee Pummels Would-Be Carjacker

Black Friday was Black Eye Day for a would-be thief

A would-be carjacker took Black Friday discounts too far in Clinton and tried to steal a shopping center employee’s car, police said.

But the Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets employee was apparently ready for anything coming her way on the chaotic shopping day and fought him off, literally, according to a story in the New Haven Register.

The woman, who has not been identified, was parking at the high school across from the shopping center when the man tried to steal the car, police told the Register.

She forced the guy out of her car by hitting him in the head, then jumped into her car, locked the doors and drove off, all as he banged on her window, the Register reports.

Police think the man had stolen another car and was trying to switch to a new one.

Moral of the story: Don’t mess with a woman whose job requires that she know how to deal with chaotic mobs.
