Lover's Tiff Ends in Flames and Hospital

A trip to Target in Enfield didn’t end so well for a Massachusetts man. Instead of picking up what he needed at the store, he landed in the hospital.

The 38-year-old, who has not been identified, set himself on fire Thursday during a dispute with his common-law husband at Enfield Square, police told the Hartford Courant.

The couple was arguing in the Target parking lot when the man doused his lower extremities with gasoline from a can in their truck and ignited himself, the Courant reports.

Enfield police said the man could face criminal charges and the incident is still under investigation.
