A family is homeless after a fire ripped through their West Hartford home early Saturday morning.
Firefighters were called to 115 Oakwood Ave. around 3:30 a.m. for a house fire.
Officials said the fire started on the home's balcony and caused extensive damage to the third floor.
The fire was brought under control by 4:37 a.m. and there were no injuries, according to fire officials.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
