A mother and child were rescued after their canoe capsized in Branford on Wednesday.
A wave caused the canoe to capsize and the mother and son climbed onto a nearby rock. A boat that was nearby rescued them and members of the Branford Fire Department escorted them to shore.
No one was injured, according to the Branford Fire Department, and the incident was over in around 25 minutes.
