First Selectman's Son Busted Again

He is on administrative leave from his volunteer firefighter duties

Nearly a year after paying a fine for pulling over a vehicle, state police say, the son of the Seymour's First Selectman, has done it again.

Police arrested Brian Koskelowski, 44, of Pearl Street,on July 1 and charged of criminal impersonation. Police said Koskelowski attempted to pull over another vehicle using a blue light bar, when he was driving along Route 8 near Exit 25. That driver just happened to be an off-duty Shelton police officer.

But Koskelowski says it is all just a misunderstanding. Koskelowski told the Republican American that he flashed his light bar only to alert the other driver of his presence after Koskelowski became worried that the other driver might damage the front end of his van, as the other vehicle reentered the highway from the breakdown lane.

Koskelowski is also a volunteer fireman, the son of Seymour First Selectman Robert Koskelowski, as well as being the chairman of the town's Republican Committee. He has been placed on administrative leave from his duties as volunteer firefighter, the Associated Press reports.

Koskelowski is charged with criminal impersonation, reckless driving and use of unauthorized colored lights.

In 2008, Koskelowski paid a fine after pulling over a car in Seymour.
