A former high school assistant football coach at Norwich Free Academy is going to jail on federal child sex charges.
Jonathan DesRosier, 29, of Norwich had several online chats with someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl, prosecutors said. He was accused of asking if she wanted to see him naked and learn how to perform sexual acts.
FBI agents and Milford police arrested him on Nov. 16, 2007. They cuffed him when he arrived at a bowling alley to meet with the girl, who was actually an undercover officer.
DesRosier was sentenced Monday by U.S. District Judge Peter Dorsey in New Haven. He agreed to a plea deal in October and faced up to 57 months in prison.
