Not So Funny Money – How Not to Make It

Four men have been charged in counterfeit money scheme

Four men from Danbury found a way around a cash shortage for a little bit but eventually their funny money making scheme caught up with them, accoutering to court records.  

The Brazilian men, who are living in Danbury, have been indicted on counterfeiting charges. Wesli Camargo, 33, is accused of making $100 bills and then selling them for $30 each.

The other three men are accused of either having or using the bogus bills.  

Prosecutors said Camargo had been making the funny money for about six months.

All four men are being held without bail.
