Yale might be the place for celeb-spotting in the fall if James Franco decides to make New Haven the next stop on his academic tour of the Northeast.

Miles Levy, Franco’s manager, tells the Boston Heraldthat the Spiderman, Milk and General Hospital star has been accepted, but not whether he will actually come to Connecticut and pursue the lofty goal of getting a doctorate in English.

Franco, 31, has attended both NYU and Columbia, Gawker.com reports.

But the most publicized moment of the Freaks and Geeks’ star’s time at Columbia is the photo of him snoozing during a lecture. TMZ has the photo.

If he does come our way, professors are almost certain to find ways to keep him awake.

On second thought, the ladies of Yale are sure to keep him from snoozing. When he attended a Yale Film Society event in November, he turned the smartest women in the Northeast into giggly schoolgirls. You can read more about his appearance on the Yale Daily News.
