Mourners gathered at St.George's Church on the Guilford town green Saturday morning to remember New Haven Police Detective Andrew Faggio.
His funeral was held this morning.
Faggio was on-duty January 31,2003 when he suffered a serious brain injury after an accident.
He was on his way to New Haven to meet other detectives who were on the trail of a bank robbery suspect.
Faggio died following complications from his injuries and leaves his wife and two sons.
