Gay marriage-minded couples in Connecticut will have to wait until Nov. 10 to start trying the knot, but Tuesday, the State Supreme Court will publish its Oct. 10 decision to approve the marriages.
Town clerks said they do not have the updated forms they need and they haven't been instructed on how to legally switch a civil union to a same-sex marriage.
Also, the state's 1,500 Justices of the Peace have not heard whether they, like their counterparts in Massachusetts, will also be required to perform all same-sex ceremonies that come their way.
The decision still has its detractors who are hoping voters will approve a ballot question in the Nov. 4 election asking for a constitutional convention which could ban gay marriage further on down the road.
Two CT attorneys will present a seminar for same-sex couples Tuesday night to help them understand the Supreme Court decision. It will take place at Wesleyan University in Middletown at 7 p.m.
