Vernon police Officer Grechko had a little help when he showed off his push-up skills at Tuesday night's National Night Out.
Grechko’s assistant is Gizmo, a therapy dog with Paws for Friendship. Gizmo is “just a dog spreading a little bit of kindness,” according to his Facebook page.
National Night Out is a nationwide event meant to build police-community relationships. National Night Out is held each year on the first Tuesday in August. Vernon’s event is sponsored by the Rockville Community Alliance, (RCA) and the Vernon Police Department.
