Man Accused of Upskirt Voyeurism Arrested on More Charges

A Massachusetts man accused of taking photos and videos of people at his former workplace in Glastonbury has been charged with six counts of voyeurism, and this is not the first time he's been arrested on these types of charges.

Police said they started investigating 43-year-old Joseph Ferrell, of Southampton, Massachusetts, in December 2015 after incidents in an office building on Winding Brook Drive.

The videos the CT Center for Digital Investigations discovered on Ferrell's phone that led to the six additional counts of voyeurism were recovered from a media vault app on his device with a tool custom developed specifically for this case by the University of New Haven's Cyberforensics Research and Education Group UNHcFREG, police said.

A forensic analysis of Ferrell's phone revealed more evidence of similar acts of voyerism from the summer of 2015. Police said images were from 655 Winding Brook Drive, as well as at several locations in Massachusetts, including upskirt videos of women walking up stairwells in front of him.

Ferrell turned himself in to police on Thursday and is due in court on Oct. 16.

In July, he was charged with 11 counts of voyeurism.

Police said he admitted to using his cell phone to take video and pictures up a woman's skirt without her knowing on Winding Brook Drive in Glastonbury.

Bond on the most recent charges was set at $100,000.
