Guns, Drugs, Money Found in Car During Motor Vehicle Stop in Hartford

Police found two guns, a large quantity of drugs and several thousand dollars in a vehicle during a motor vehicle stop in Hartford on Thursday.

Officers say they were on patrol in the "Behind the Rocks" neighborhood around 8:45 p.m. when they saw a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Michael Justiniano-Cintron traveling north on Hillside Avenue.

Justiniano-Cintron's vehicle had equipment violations that prompted police to conduct a stop on Hillside Avenue. During the stop, officers say they developed cause to search the vehicle.

According to police, officers found 2 guns, a large quantity of narcotics and several thousand dollars in the car. Justiniano-Cintron claimed possession of the illegal items.

Justiniano-Cintron is facing charges including possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, drug factor, weapons in a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen firearm and operating without a license.
