Hamden Police Investigate Daytime Burglaries

Hamden police are urging residents to be extra vigilant after thieves broke into city homes Tuesday and made off with jewelry and electronics.

Police said the burglars entered the homes through unlocked ground-level windows during the day Tuesday. One victim said she lost every piece of jewelry she owns.

The burglars targeted houses on Tanglewood Drive South, Farrell Street, Cromwell Street, and Willard Street and struck during the day when no one was home, according to police.

Authorities are reminding residents to lock their doors and windows.

Anyone with information about the burglaries should call the detective division at (203) 230-4040.
