Hartford police have arrested a local man accused of child porn possession and sharing child pornography online.
In March, police started investigating a case of child pornography being shared online and connected the case to an address on Mary Shepard Place, police said.
On July 23, police searched 702 Mary Shepard Place and seized several items, including a computer and media.
Police identified a resident, Faustino Cotto, 30, as a possible suspect and arrested him after analyzing items seized from his home.
Cotto was arrested on Thursday outside his home and charged with possession of child pornography, promoting a minor in an obscene performance and obscenity.
Police are still analyzing a computer and media to determine if more charges will be brought.
Bond was set at $350,000.
