Hartford Police Investigate Baby Death

A distraught man held the limp baby and called for help.

Police are investigating the death of a 9-month-old boy in Hartford.

A distraught man held a limp baby in his arms and yelled for help from the porch of a Garden Street home, witnesses said.

Blood was coming from the baby’s mouth and nose, the man who called 911 told NBC Connecticut. After calling 911, he tried to help resuscitate the baby, he said.

When the ambulance arrived, the EMT began to cry and it was obvious the baby boy was dead, the man said.

Yellow police tape now surrounds the home and police are investigating.
