Police Identify Victim of Fatal Hartford Shooting

Police have identified the two people shot in Hartford's North End on Thursday evening.

Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation and multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting near Garden and Pliny streets around 4:36 p.m. When officers arrived they found one victim, 35-year-old Ross Stone, of West Hartford, unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head. He did not survive his injuries.

A second man, 25-year-old Elijah Adorno, of Hartford, suffered several gunshots to his stomach and lower extremities, according to police. He is currently listed in stable condition at Saint Francis Hospital.

Police said it may have been a targeted attack.
