A person found with a serious injury to the face Tuesday suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police.
Police said they were called to the area of Park and Wolcott streets around 6:52 p.m. and found the victim.
The victim is currently being treated at Hartford Hospital for a serious wound to the face. Police said the victim has a history of mental health issue and suicide attempts. The victim is listed in critical, but stable condition.
