Heating Oil Spill at Chester Restaurant

Around 200 gallons of heating oil spilled in the basement of the restaurant near the Pattacock brook in Chester today as fire officials as well as the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection are responding.

There was a malfunction with the furnace of the Brushmill by the Waterfall restaurant, according to officials. 

The drinking water and river are fine, officials said, and the restaurant is not affected.

The situation is self-contained.
