Heavy rain is falling in Old Saybrook and spreading north through Connecticut.
The storm system is expected to continue affecting the state until this evening, bringing thunder and lightning, according to NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Bob Maxon.
Be cautious when driving. The rain could cause flooding on the highways, as well as on local streets and in urban areas.
