Holy Bloggers!

Yale Divinity school students are having fun dishing about stuff they've overheard

Some higher power has hit the blogosphere! It seems everyone is chiming in on how they feel about just about everything, including Yale’s future ministers.

Now there is a new blog called “Overheard at Yale Divinity School.” Rachel Duncan, the site’s administrator, posts off-color comments submitted by divinity students and faculty,  according to the Yale Daily News.

“I’m sure that some pastor somewhere finds this funny,” Duncan told the newspaper.

The blog has attracted a following at the Divinity school and has an average of 156 page views a day.  Readers find the blog to be humorous and enjoy the jokes and funny comments.

Lecturer: I was listening to a sermon where the preacher used an example of God as a laxative, which really wasn't a good idea.

Student: So you could say God moved them...

One of the hot topics is Dean Harold Attridge’s knowledge of Star Wars, according to the Daily News.

“The best way to understand Stoicism is to think of Obi-Wan Kenobi,” reads a quotation from Attridge which was posted Nov. 9, 2007.

The “Overheard at Yale Divinity School” blog was created two years ago by Lindsay Bacher, who tells the Daily News that she was inspired by blogs like “Overheard in New York.”
