Nearly 4,000 veterans marched through the streets of Hartford Sunday in a line that stretched more than a mile long. They walked side by side with enlisted military personnel and others who have served the state and the country.
Organizers say the CT Veterans Day Parade in Hartford is the largest such parade in New England. Every year, it draws tens of thousands of people who line the route to give a collective "thanks" to those in uniform.
This year's parade marked the 60th anniversary of the "Armed Forces Integration Act", which made women a permanent part of the military.
Veteran's Day is November 11.
