I-691 East in Meriden Reopens After Motorcycle Crash

Interstate 691 eastbound, in the area of exit 5 in Meriden, has reopened after a motorcycle collided with a car on the highway, fire officials said.

According to the Meriden Fire Department, the driver was found unresponsive in the roadway just past the footbridge to Hubbard Park. The driver's condition is unknown.

The eastbound side of the highway was shut down for a few hours and traffic was getting by on the shoulder, according to state police.

No additional information was immediately available.
