Irene Will Cost CL&P $100M

At the height of Tropical Storm Irene, about 830,000 people had no power when the storm knocked down trees that pulled down power lines.

Northeast Utilities, the parent company of Connecticut Light & Power estimates that the cost to make repairs and restore power will exceed $100 million.
