Job Seekers, Get Your Resumes Ready

Sen. Richard Blumenthal is hosting a job fair in Waterbury.

People looking for work might want to head to Waterbury on Wednesday.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal is hosting a job fair at the Courtyard Marriott.

His goal is to connect Connecticut employers with prospective employees. There will also be plenty of resources available for job seekers, including free professional help with resumes and job interviews.

Representatives from a variety of industries will be in attendance, including manufacturing, health care, engineering and sales. The goal is to teach job seekers about different fields and how they can apply for current openings.

Special representatives will also be at the event to help veterans looking for work.

The job fair is free of charge.

It's being held at the Courtyard Marriott on Grand Street from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Parking is available in the Municipal Parking Garage adjacent to the hotel. Parking will be validated.

This is the third job and employment resources fair Blumenthal has hosted since taking office.
