Mark Altieri, 42, of Cheshire is set to appear in court on allegations he kidnapped two women at knife-point and sexually assaulted one of them.
Altieri is due to be arraigned on Monday morning in Meriden Superior Court. He's being held on $500,000 bail.
Cheshire police said the women, ages 18 and 42, told police early Saturday that Altieri sexually assaulted one of them in a local home while the other was forced to stay in an adjacent room. Authorities said they found Altieri at a home in Seymour late Saturday.
Joan Detullio, 63, who lives at the home, was also arrested, accused of telling police Altieri wasn't there.
It's not clear if Detullio and Altieri have lawyers. Altieri is charged with first-degree sexual assault, kidnapping and other crimes.
