Gov.-elect Ned Lamont and Lt. Gov.-elect Susan Bysiewicz are spending one of the final days leading up to Inauguration Day volunteering at nonprofit agencies across Connecticut.
The Democrats are scheduled Sunday to help out at a number of locations, including a pet food pantry and veterinary clinic, a soup kitchen and a shelter for homeless veterans.
Dubbing it "Connecticut Day of Service," Lamont and Bysiewicz are urging residents across the state to join them in serving their communities and celebrating the work done by nonprofit agencies to help those in need.
Lamont's inauguration is on Wednesday.
