Lawsuits Allege Sex Abuse at Stamford School in '70s and '80s

Two former students at the Rogers School in Stamford have filed separate lawsuits claiming a teacher sexually abused them in the 1970s and 1980s.

The lawsuits, filed against the Stamford Board of Education and two former staff members, allege the sexual abuse on school premises during the school day.

NBC Connecticut is not naming the former staff members because no one has been charged.

Stamford police said they looked into allegations a few years ago, but were unable to locate any victims.

NBC Connecticut also reached out to school officials who said they had not seen the lawsuits, but it is district policy not to discuss pending litigation.
