    Ledyard’s fire chief is leaving the department and will be taking a job with the United States Department of Homeland Security.

    The Day reports that that John Doucette will be leaving for San Diego to be marine interdiction agent after serving the last 18 years with the fire department and 12 years with the Groton Town Police Department.
